Deluxe 2 & Bravo 2 Instrument Stands
Deluxe 2 and Bravo 2: the spine of the lane
Marco makes two instrument stands. The Deluxe 2 is the fully featured one, with a control panel that runs the slit lamp, chair elevation, overhead lamp and accessories from one place, and a scuff-resistant refractor arm. The Bravo 2 pairs a newer design with a mechanical operating system Marco has been building for thirty-five years, and its slit lamp arm has extra vertical travel specifically to accommodate wheelchair patients.
What it does
- Deluxe 2: full control panel for slit lamp, chair elevation, overhead lamp and accessories
- Deluxe 2: durable, scuff-resistant refractor arm base
- Electronic release button on the slit lamp arm for easy adjustment
- Chair elevation switch located on the lower slit lamp arm
- Bravo 2: increased slit lamp arm vertical travel to accommodate wheelchair patients
- Bravo 2: new design over a proven 35-year mechanical operating system
- Both interface with Marco examination chairs for integrated elevation control
Is it right for your practice?
Best fit
Any lane being built or rebuilt. The stand determines what the lane can hold and how it is controlled, so it is worth deciding before the instruments.
Why consider it
Everything in the lane hangs off the stand and is controlled from it. Get it right and the chair, slit lamp and overhead all work from one panel; get it wrong and you have a lane full of good instruments that each need their own switch. The Deluxe 2 is the fully featured one, with a control panel covering slit lamp, chair elevation, overhead lamp and accessories, and a scuff-resistant refractor arm base. The Bravo 2 pairs a newer design with a mechanical operating system Marco has been building for thirty-five years, and its slit lamp arm has extra vertical travel specifically to accommodate wheelchair patients.
What to compare
The two are not tiers so much as different priorities. Deluxe 2 for the control panel, Bravo 2 for the arm travel - and if accessibility matters in your practice, that arm travel is a real design difference and not a marketing line, so the newer stand is the right one even though the Deluxe 2 has the fuller panel. Decide which of those two you need before you compare prices.
